A little about myself and this blog....
I'm Rebecca, born and raised in beautiful California. I joined the Marine Corps after high school and got to serve 5 years in the gorgeous San Diego area, with a deployment to Kuwait. I married a Marine from my unit, and followed him to North Carolina. Now I stay at home with my two darling daughters and I work from home. I started a small sewing business, now I am expanding to pattern making and writing.
The premise for this blog is to be like Leonardo daVinci. He did, and excelled, at a breadth of things. I think, at some point in life, we get used to people asking us what we want to do and we answer them with 'a baker' or 'an artist'. We answer with one thing, and limit our dreams.
I was at a homeschooling seminar (my girls are not homeschooled as of now, but if the system continues to disappoint, they will be pulled out of public school in October) when the speaker mentioned daVinci and everything that he could do. At that moment, I thought, 'Well, I could do that,' and I started writing an idea for a book that I had dreamt about and thought would be a good theme for a novel.
Basically, this is my attempt to do all things, and do all things well. Even if it is small scale, I think we can all do more than we are capable of. So - this blog is going to be a modge-podge of things, I hope you enjoy it and I hope it inspires you to do more :)
